LOCAL 2544 News  DAY FOURTEEN SEPTEMBER 27, 20059/27/2005Commissioner Peter Cheng of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service joined the parties today. Negotiations continued at a very slow pace today and very important issues of Retiree Medical, Pension, Current Employee Medical, and Wages remain unresolved. Today a posting from the Local Lodge told of a vote to take place on Friday. Our International Constitution provides we must give at least 48 hours notice of a contract vote.
