12 hour shifts was the main topic of discussion today. The Company provided written language that addressed most issues of 12 hour shifts but there still remain problem areas.
There is still serious differences in Medical & Pension that must be resolved.
There was also discussions today about the absence program.
The Union contacted the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service today and requested the service of a Federal Mediator. Commissioner Peter Cheng will join the negotiations tomorrow (Tuesday).
The Company and the Union had a conversation this morning about the Company's intention in the event there is a work stoppage. The Company repeated their intention not to run a saleable product in the event of a work stoppage.
